John Aspinall Foundation does not explain donation of gorillas to Brazilian zoo
We have been waiting for more than three weeks for a reasonable explanation to understand why a Foundation like John Aspinall, which usually support sanctuaries in Africa and collaborate in the reintegration of great apes in their habitat, sent two young gorillas to Belo Horizonte Zoo, in Brazil - Imbi and Kifta – to put them together with a male gorilla – Idi Amin - that live for 27 years by himself, after two other females died a few years before.
The foundation is based on England and has a park in the country with gorillas. It does not consider itself as a zoo, but some people who had the chance to know the facilities affirm that it is.
We keep on waiting for an explanation of John Aspinall Foundation, which promised us a feedback. On Belo Horizonte zoo people are trying to join the female gorillas with Idi and we really hope that this experience does not end in tragedy.
